Debashish Chakrabarty, a Software Consultant by profession and an Electrical Enginner by qualification, is based at Pune, India. He has been blogging in English as well as Hindi since 2002. He launched the first desi blog-awards called the Indibloggies and created the first ever Hindi blog aggregator Chittha Vishwa. He publishes a Hindi blogzine Nirantar, maintains the Bangla and Hindi blog directories and occassionaly dabbles in Hindi podcasting at Podbharti. Debashish has also been a DMOZ editor and contributing towards localization of softwares such as Wordpress, Gregarious, Pebble, IndicJoomla, IJoomla, Scuttle, Snap Shots, Blog Bar, among others. He has also been instrumental in beginning initiatives like Buno Kahani, a group blog where various authors literally weave a story and Anugunj - a web event hosted in turn by Hindi bloggers - where various bloggers write on a given topic. Ravishankar Shrivastava is a Hindi blogger from Ratlam, India. After working with State Electrical Distribution company for 20 years as an electrical equipment maintenance engineer he opted for voluntary retirement and presently works as freelance technical writer and technical translator. He has done pioneering work in bringing Linux OS in Hindi. He has translated hundreds of applications, installers etc, that includes complete KDE 3.2, Gnome 2.0, XFCE 4.0, Debian Installer, Open Office Help and PC BSD Installer to Hindi. His witty Hindi blog was adjudged the Best Hindi Blog in 2006 by Microsoft BhashaIndia. In July 2007 he was awarded with Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, in 2008 his Hindi team got FOSS.in award.
